Previous posts are not completely accurate anymore, I'm going with a larger redesign of the overall look of the site. I can't figure out where to put the menu in the current site and the CSS was getting way too complicated. So I'm going back through cleaning everything up and rearranging data and info. It's going to look a lot better when I get done and more consistent, so be prepared.

So code freeze and final on update 1.2 has been called because the next changes are going to be major redesign of the blog pages and making it more modular. The blog system itself isn't going to change much but the CSS and XHTML is going to be completely different. I don't want to get to a point in the changes that I can't undo anymore so I'm cutting 1.2 off as is on the live server and starting 1.3 with the blog changes. Along with the blog changes the myAccount page will be completely redone so it won't look as crappy. The new account pages will look similar to the new blog pages. Stay tuned for the coming previews of 1.3, fewls.

A large portion of the 1.2 Update has been pushed to the live servers. Due to database changes all current users had to be wiped. However we are getting to a point where the user table in the database is almost independent of all the other tables so I don't see needing to change it too broadly again where we need to wipe users. With that said anyone who previously registered is going to need to register again. Some of the updates included in this preview are:

• myAccount page with two column layout and horizontal menu across the top.
• Change Password feature.
• Account creation script for people to create their initial 'free' account.
• Lots of CSS changes and improvements, more form standardization.
• Template overhaul and rearranging (This was mentioned in earlier posts).

A code freeze has not been called for 1.2 yet so some more of the major features may still come. Keep checking back for more updates, fewls.

Update: Somehow I forgot to include a semi-major change in this update. To those who were registered and had tested/checked out the site before. When you register this time you will have to log in using your email address instead of your username, this will increase security on your account.

The template changes and redesign have been pushed to the live servers. Among the changes to the ubar and menu switching places, the CSS files have been drastically cleaned up. The CSS Form properties have been somewhat standardized and other redundant elements have been removed. So check it out and leave comments if you find any bugs or graphical glitches with the new CSS.
